Trimarchi Management Honored in The Business Review's
Great Places to Work

The Business Review has named Trimarchi Management one of the Great Places to Work in the Capital Region. The award recognizes the company's achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of benefits, working conditions and company culture.

The Schenectady-based Trimarchi Management was one of the 125 companies under consideration and they made the top 30 list based on the strength of its employee evaluations.

"We have been successful at creating an environment for our staff that provides them with the flexibility to manage their personal, professional and community responsibilities. This coupled with our comprehensive benefits package and open lines of communication with management enables each staff member to excel," said Dennis M. Trimarchi, Chief Executive Officer.

"At the end of the day it's about the appreciation and respect you show to your employees," said Claire Baldwin, Senior Vice President. "This appreciation is represented not only by offering an equitable employment package but also by recognizing each individual's contribution to the company. We have an exceptional team at Trimarchi and are honored to receive this award."

"We are very proud of our employees, and we're proud to be a winner of this award," said Human Resources Manager, Edie Crist, "because we believe our culture is unique due to our open lines of communication between staff and management and the encouragement and sponsorship of career development opportunities."

"Employees are proud to work for companies that are about more than business," said Mike Hendricks, Business Review editor. "And the results show how creating the right work environment can create powerful business advantages."

The top companies will be profiled in a special supplement of The Business Review issued on December 8 and will be honored at a celebration on December 7 at the Crowne Plaza in Albany.

Companies were evaluated on an objective 40-question survey completed by employees of participating companies. Employees scored their respective companies on a six-point scale. The results were compiled and analyzed by The Business Review's research partner, Quantum Market Research.

The survey takes the following strategic measures into account:

  • Team effectiveness
  • Retention
  • Employee alignment with company goals
  • Trust with co-workers
  • Individual contribution
  • Manager effectiveness
  • Trust in senior leaders
  • Feeling valued
  • Work engagement
  • People practices

"The best places to work are companies that don't cut back their commitment to employees in a down economy, while asking them to work harder and smarter," said Business Review publisher Carolyn Jones. "They recognize employees as their best asset, instrumental in maintaining the quality and reputation for services and products. It's a smart – and winning – business strategy."

"We work at being open and innovative," said Edie Crist, "and we're proud to be recognized by the area's leading business journals for our efforts by being named one of the Great Places to Work in the Capital Region."
